Dr. Darshana Patel (AD 76), please join this free in-person workshop to learn how to protect yourself from fraud and scams with a presentation from the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI), San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), the Department of Insurance (CDI), and the California Department of Justice – Office of the Attorney General. Topics to be covered include an overview of imposter, investment, phishing, and romance scams, identity and mail theft, and a live Q&A with print materials, and educational resources.
The California Privacy Protection Agency (CalPrivacy) hosts a variety of public events throughout the year in support of its statutory responsibilities and public engagement efforts. Event materials—including agendas, notices, presentations, recordings, transcripts, and other supporting documents—are posted when available and may vary depending on the type of event.
Unless otherwise indicated, meetings of the California Privacy Protection Agency Board are open to the public. Closed sessions, when authorized by law, will be identified on the meeting agenda. Board meeting agendas are generally posted at least 10 days before each meeting in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Recordings, when available, are generally posted within two weeks following the meeting.
