Data broker registry

A data broker is a business that doesn’t have a relationship with you but collects and sells your personal information anyway. Data brokers are required to annually register with the state of California, pay a fee, and disclose information about the types of personal information they collect.

You have the right to reach out to data brokers and exercise your CCPA rights. As part of Senate Bill 362, commonly called the California Delete Act, by January 1, 2026, the Agency will establish a mechanism that will allow consumers to submit a single request to delete all their personal information from data brokers registered with the state.

More information about data brokers can be found on the Agency’s website
